Started by moms! Run by moms! Loved by moms and kids! SummervilleMoms.com is a casual group of moms who have banded together to create a fun environment for both our children and moms to form friendships and participate in group activities. We have a very diverse group of moms with children that range from infant to school age, single moms, working moms, stay-at-home moms, work-at-home moms, military moms, wives of husbands out-of-work, wives of husbands working out-of-town/country etc, etc, etc. We are open to all moms who want to participate and create a positive atmosphere.

If you work inside or outside the home, it doesn't matter to us. Most of our activities are geared toward stay-at-home-moms or moms who work part-time. Our events occur every day of the week in locations all around town and all times of the day. You have to be a mom to join, but dads are welcome at all public events.


Activities for Kids:

• Homegrown Preschool (Summer Enrichment Program for Pre-schoolers and "Pre-" Pre-schoolers run by volunteer parents)
  
• Age-based Playgroups (Infant, Toddler, All Ages)
  
• Park Playdates - We rotate through all of the local parks. You can learn where they all are!
  
• Community Events - Most community events are posted on our calendar. These are events like parades, festivals, turtle releases, etc. If you know about it, then you can go! If you know which of your friends (or kid's friends) are going, then you might spot a friendly face in the crowd.
  
• In-Home Playgroups - Smaller, more intimant playgroups. These are a great place to get to know other members and deepen friendships.
  
• Story Times - Library, Barnes and Noble, In-Home, etc
  
• Gymnastics and Jump Houses - We rotate through lots of local business that provide indoor activities for kids: Rolly Pollies, Celebration Town, Jump Indoors, Just Like Home Playhouse, etc
  
• SummervilleMoms.com Exclusive Events - Several businesses open their doors for our group to come in while no one else is there: Rolly Pollies, Choice Gymnastics, The Little Gym, etc.
  
• Craft Playgroups - We usually have at least one craft event on the calendar each week.
  
• SummervilleMoms.com Parties - We like to party! New Years, Valentine's, Easter Egg Hunt, Club Anniversary Party, Halloween, Christmas (with Santa), Field Days, Treasure Hunts, Quarterly Birthday Party, Kite Days, Mother's Day Potluck, etc, etc, etc. These are private parties planned by volunteer moms for members only.
  
• Waterpark Playdates - A large percentage of our group purchases waterpark passes each summer. We pool our resources to the the lowest price possible!
  
• And Lots More! Movie Nights, Cooking Playgroups, Train Playgroups, Tie-Dye Playgroups, etc, etc, etc.
  

• Mom's Night In - Craft Night, Wii Night, etc
  
• Mom's Night Out - Dinner Out, Sushi Night, Movie Night, Comedy Night, Karaoke Night, etc
  
• Annual Mom's Only Christmas Party
  
• Workout Partners - Lots of our moms workout together at local gyms
  
• Message Board to share information and just gab
  
• Book Club - Our book club has been running for over a year!
  

• Drama Free Zone! We have a group of compassionate, inspiring women who have created an environment of fun, friendship, and support. We want this group to be a positive experience for all of our mommies. Instigation and/or participation in drama could lead to your immediate removal from the group with no refund (at the sole discretion of the group leader). • Sick Policy - Please do not bring your child to group events when they are sick. Please see our full sick policy for guidance. (link to be added soon)
  
• Behavior Policy - Please make sure that you keep an eye on your child at all events. The best deterrent to misbehavior is mommy's watchful eye. Please read our entire behavior policy for more details.
  
• Supervision Policy: You are the only one responsible for watching your children....not other members of the group. Please consider that everyone in our group has their own children to watch.

• Family Friendly - While only moms can be "members" of SummervilleMoms.com. Our group is family friendly! We welcome dads, older siblings, grandmas, aunts, uncles, and all family members to attend our events. We ask that adult male family members (dads, uncles, grandpas, etc) limit their particpation to public events (no in-home playdates).
  

• Attendance Policy - You do not have to attend a certain number of events each month. Life has a way of bringing surprises at very unexpected times. We don't need an explanation and we are not going to come hunt you down, but we ARE going to miss you! Our annual dues and 30 day free trial period naturally weed out the moms that don't want to be in the group, so we already know that you want to be here...even if you can't come!
  
• Calendar Rules - We don't have any! You want to invite other moms/kids to come? Then post it! Everyone can add events to the calendar. As a matter of fact, we encourage you to do so! There are no rules for time, location, or day of the week. If you are interested in an activity, throw it on the calendar and see if someone else wants to go with you. We often have more than one event going on at the same time. Our website allows you to limit the number of children allowed to attend any one event. This is great for in-home events where you want to make sure there is enough room for everyone to play. Our website also allows you to create an RSVP deadline. This is good for Birthday Parties or other costly events where you need to know the number of attendees in advance.
  

• We welcome all local moms who want to participate and create a positive atmosphere!
  
• All new members must 1) apply online to be a member of this site, 2) fill out our membership forms, and 3) email or mail your completed membership forms along with a copy of your driver's license to michelerenee7 (at) gmail (dot) com.
  
• After we review your completed forms and driver's license, we will start your 30 day free trial.
  
• You must attend at least one event during your first 30 days AND meet some of our current members in order to be eligible to become a full member.
  
• Make your application process faster! Please make sure that your online profile is completely filled out (phone numbers, kids names, etc). Also, your online photo must include a picture of you, the member. You are welcome to put up a family picture, but you must always be in the picture too.
